Ron Harmon: Listen

Make It Right

This was written following one of my children crashing a friends car without a license and the resulting DUI. It's pretty much my perception of that night.
[verse 1]
Another picture you paint that's not so black and white
I see you've fallen down - well get back up again
This time know that nothing is not the right thing to say

[verse 2]
I see you standing alone crying in the rain.
I see you cover your face, look for some sympathy
Think twice & know that you're never going to get it that way
I'll tell you how to make it

[chorus]
Keep trying, hold on, start it all over again
It seems you've lost your way, turn your head and then
You can see the mistake you've made Now -
it's time to make a stand, make it right, make it right

[verse 3]
White lie, tall tale, lying tongue, I can't believe a word you say
Deep sigh, die trying, hang your head - won't make it go away
I believe that you really don't understand.
I'll tell you how to make it
